Behavior Technician
Entry-Level (no-experience required)
You will be providing 1-on-1 behavior therapy for autistic children ages 2-12.
In this role, you will be going to clients’ homes, building trust with the family and child, and running programs that are specifically designed by your supervisor, and recording the results.
Depending on the specific needs of the child, programs can include: matching words and pictures, hand-washing, puzzles, mixed with playtime. The list of programs is endless, and as the child masters each program, your supervisor will review their progress and introduce the next level of lessons.

40 hours paid online training
Initial client training with supervising BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst), then weekly overlap with supervisor to make sure you’re staying on track.

$20+ per hour depending on relevant experience.

Compassionate and respectful - We develop long-term relationships with our clients and work intimately in their homes.
Patience - There is no better feeling than having a breakthrough with a client, helping a child say their first word, or seeing a parent with tears of joy because of what you’ve done. However, kids can be unpredictable and you will experience tantrums at some point. Patience is key and your supervisor will teach you how to stay calm during these moments.
Reliable transportation - You must be able to travel to clients’ homes independently in order to maintain privacy and confidentiality.

We hold our RBTs in high regard. You have experience in ABA and have demonstrated the motivation to take the next step in getting credentialed.
In this role, you will provide 1-on-1, in-home ABA therapy for autistic children ages 2-12 (for more description see “behavior technician” listing above).
At Bright Steps, we value RBTs’ foundational skillset and ability to jump right in. We aim to support you in your professional journey, and your supervising BCBAs will be there to guide and mentor you.

* Senior-level tech positions available for RBTs with a minimum of 2-3 years experience.
Benefits
$23-25 per hour depending on relevant experience, with an automatic raise after your first 30 days after we assess your skills.
